To start a Nearstill, click on the links at the top of the page. A new browser window will open and after a short pause (usually around 1 minute) while your selected Nearstill is downloaded, the first image will be generated. The image will immediately start to gradually shift and change.

Display indicators

The display indicators in the bottom left of the screen give you some information about the current Nearstill composition.

The top row displays the current time for your time zone in hours, minutes and seconds. The dial on this row becomes complete as the day progresses.

The next three rows display the name of each component of image currently being displayed and its visibility. The dials on these rows become complete as the component solidifies.

Refresh button

Press the 'refresh' button in the bottom right of the screen to generate a new image at any time.

Still button

Press the 'still' button in the bottom right of the screen to pause the Nearstill at any time. You will then be given the option to order your selected image as a limited edition digital print.
